TIRF & NRCAN Team up to Research the Effect of Fuel-efficient Driving on Collision Risk

The Traffic Injury Research Foundation (TIRF), an independent road safety research institute, received funding from Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) to conduct a national study on the effect of fuel-efficient driving on crash risk and crash severity in Canada and is soliciting participation from fleets operating class 8 vehicles across Canada.

Findings will be widely shared across the industry to increase awareness of strategies to reduce crashes and crash severity through fuel-efficient driving practices. Workload for participating carriers will be minimal.  Click here for full details of the study and contact information to participate.
