The Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association reports the sudden passing of Noel Mullins of Keltic Transportation. Noel started Keltic Transportation in June 1997, following a successful career with Midland Transport. Under Noel’s leadership, Keltic has become one of Canada’s leading transportation and logistics companies.
Noel was a very private and kind person who supported many local charitable organizations and sports teams and shunned recognition for his and his family’s generosity.
Noel carried a great presence in a room that was very unique, mostly because of his great smile; needless to say, Noel will not only be missed by his family and close friends but by an entire community.
Obituary
It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the passing of Noel Vincent Mullins on Saturday, September 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Noel was born in England on January 19, 1954. Soon afterwards, his family immigrated to Canada (Montreal), where he spent his formative years and met his bride of 47 years, Sandra. Together they began a wonderful adventure, beginning with their family, Melanie (Jason), Jaime (Chris) and Brandon, and to follow his grandchildren, Xavier, Lauren, Kaleb and Alexis.
An entrepreneur from the start, they soon found themselves eastward bound where opportunity awaited. Noel was a man among men, and all who had the good fortune to meet him soon found in him a good friend. Whether on the field, at the rink, or at his place of business, people were drawn to him as he possessed that certain something. Ever charming and that sharp wit, mixed with his heart of gold and the strength of a lion, he lived his life as he desired and was grateful for every day he had. Noel’s Golden Rule was Family First, always. A more loving, caring and selfless man would be hard to find and, at the same time, a leader in everything he did. He changed lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Gone, but never forgotten, #7.
Along with his immediate family, he will be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters: Pat (Gisele), Nuala (Greg), Tommy (Elizabeth), Ronny, Brendan (Joanne), Claire (Peter), Leo, Maureen (Valentin), Caroline (Phil), Gail (Alain), and his extended family: Katrina (Tony and Zaydon) Hasan (Danielle and Hugo), Kassandra and Tyler, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Noel was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Mary Mullins (O’Neill), and his sister Pamela.
Unending thanks goes to the staff at the Moncton City Hospital (Neurological ICU). We are forever grateful for the kindness and care given to Noel by all the doctors and nurses and to our family during this very difficult time.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Followed by a celebration of life in the Garden View Room from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Rd, Moncton NB (506) 852-3530. Noel will be laid to rest at Fair Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Friends of the Moncton Hospital (Neurology ICU).
