The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) is working with American Trucking Association (ATA) to raise awareness among state and provincial authorities regarding the cost for carriers to comply with the IFTA decal requirement.
CTA has mirrored a survey that attempts to examine not just the costs of the decal fees themselves, but also what it costs for carriers to distribute the stickers to their various terminals, and the types of expenses carriers absorb if they should get a citation for a decal violation.
With the responses in hand, ATA and CTA hope to be able to extrapolate a total sum of industry costs compared to any perceived benefits the states and provinces get out the requirement.

All surveys completed by April 15 2015 will be included in final results. For more information on this program e-mail jonathan.blackham@ontruck.org.
