The Public Service Alliance of Canada issued a statement this afternoon stating that “all strike action by 9,000 CBSA personnel is on hold as mediation will continue until Wednesday. Picket lines will not be in place until further notice.”
The PSAC members who work for the CBSA were prepared to begin labour action at 4 p.m. on Friday, but that’s when the union announced it is on hold and negotiations will continue. The two sides went into mediation on Monday.
CTA will be closely monitoring the situation as negotiations resume into next week and will report any updates or changes to members immediately.
