T4C Partners with Ship North America For Improved Charity Freight Support

Trucks For Change Network (T4C) has announced it is joining forces with ShipNorthAmerica Network (SNA) to support T4C’s efforts to arrange and effect economical freight shipments for T4C’s charity partners.

Under the in-kind sponsorship arrangement, the SNA team will apply its services to match the day to day freight needs of T4C’s partner charity organizations with available truck capacity of T4C’s member trucking companies. Since its founding in 2011, Trucks For Change Network member carriers have distributed over 22 million pounds of donated food and materials at reduced rates for charities including Canadian Red Cross, Food Banks Canada, Habitat For Humanity Canada, and many others.

“This collaboration will allow us to help our charity partners more efficiently by leveraging industry best practices, and will broaden our outreach to highway carriers interested in supporting their communities. We are so grateful for SNA’s generous offer to help us make a difference for Canadians and communities in need,” said Said Pete Dalmazzi, President of T4C.

ShipNorthAmerica Network, based in Oakville, Ontario, is a subsidiary of the Tandet Group, a long-standing member of T4C’s “trucking network for good”.

Said Tandet President Scott Tilley, who also sits on the Board at T4C: “Our trucking operations are not able to assist Trucks for Change with direct freight shipments, so it is with great pleasure that our team is able to support T4C in an indirect way, by helping to initiate and support the freight transactions between the T4C partner charities and carriers.”
