SMS Website Gets Updated to Improve User Interface

The FMCSA says its newly redesigned SMS webpage makes it easier for carriers to use and keep tabs on how they are doing under the CSA program.

The recent changes, made to better reflect how users navigate the site and look at data, are mostly cosmetic and does not affect the SMS, FMCSA’s Joseph DeLorenzo, said at the TMW’s Transforum user conference last week.

As reported by Heavy Duty Trucking, he explained the redesign makes it easier for viewers to understand what they looking at, get all the information in one place, and give carriers a tool to make it easier to monitor their performance, compare how a carrier ranks in relation to similar carriers for each BASIC.

The carrier registration page now includes a flag to show carrier information is outdated and allows companies to automatically update it.
