Registration for Trucking HR Canada’s 2023 Women with Drive Leadership Summit has officially opened, promising new insights into strategies that can help attract, recruit, and retain a diverse workforce within the trucking and logistics industry. The ninth annual event will be held on March 8, 2023, hosted at the Westin Toronto Airport Hotel.
This year’s theme, “Driving a Sustainable Supply Chain” will look at how Canada’s supply chain and economic recovery are made stronger through a diverse workforce in the trucking and logistics sector. The event will showcase emerging trends in the industry and provide practical insights and best practices to support the sector that is best positioned to support economic recovery in Canada.
The day will begin with opening speaker David Coletto, CEO of Abacus Data, who will set the stage with insights on the most recent industry research on women in the sector, and how the trucking and logistics sector measures up to other sectors of the Canadian economy. Lunch Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Jody Carrington, psychologist, best-selling author, and public speaker with an affinity for helping teams and organizations overcome their most complex, human-centered problems.
The afternoon’s #EmbracingEquity Panel will bring together a group of diverse industry leaders, whose contributions are challenging industry norms, and leading the way to support a thriving Canadian supply chain.
“Creating and supporting a sustainable supply chain in Canada requires that our workforce includes the brightest and best,” says Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada. “Attendees of the Women with Drive Leadership Summit will leave armed with the tools to create workplaces that attract and retain top talent across all departments.”
Now in its ninth year, the summit has become a go-to event for anyone in the industry, men, and women alike, looking to learn more about best practices in recruitment and retention that foster inclusive workplaces.
