Ottawa Issues Call to Canadian Employers to Assist Ukrainians Fleeing War

In response to the worldwide efforts to support Ukrainians fleeing the war, the Government of Canada announced the launch of the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET). The CUAET allows Ukrainians and their immediate family members to stay in Canada for up to 3 years and to work in Canada during this time.

The Government of Canada also issued a call to all employers who wish to support Ukrainians with offers of employment to register these offers on Job Bank’s Jobs for Ukraine webpage. Job Bank will then work with local organizations and employers to help connect them with Ukrainians seeking work in their communities.

Instructions for Employers

On the Jobs for Ukraine webpage, you will be able to create a job posting and let Job Bank know it is for Ukraine. It is very simple. Job Bank will follow up with you afterwards with details on how the process will work.

Interested employers can find out more at Job Bank.
