The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced availability of a long-awaited free training module that meets the minimum requirements for carrier personnel under the sanitary transportation of food rule. This training is a requirement of the Uniform Food Safety Transportation Protocol.

The new FDA training module is an option for meeting your training obligation, but it is not required. For current and future personnel who have not been trained, however, the FDA module may be a desirable alternative to third-party or in-house training, says FDA.
