Do you think you have one of the top workplaces in Canada’s trucking industry? It’s time to find out.
Applications are now being accepted for Trucking HR Canada’s 3rd annual Top Fleet Employers program, which recognizes fleets with the top workplaces in Canada’s trucking industry.
Online submissions will be accepted at www.truckinghr.com until 4 p.m. EST on Monday, February 29, 2016.
The program recognizes any fleet which meets acknowledged standards of excellence in human resources. There is no limit to the number or size of fleets which can be honoured.
Top Fleet Employers rates workplaces on employee recognition, compensation, lifestyle, employee engagement, wellness, professional development, recruitment and retention. In addition to the online application, the process involves formal documentation, employee surveys and interviews. Selection criteria reflect human resources issues, trends and working environments seen in the Canadian trucking industry, and have been validated by a panel of industry experts and a Certified Human Resources Professional.
Many OTA and CTA member carriers were recognized in the second annual listing, including: Atlantica Diversified Transportation Systems Inc. (ADTS), Bison Transport, Challenger Motor Freight, DJ Knoll Transport Ltd., Drive Logistics, Edge Transportation, Erb Transport, Home Hardware Stores Limited, J&R Hall Transport, JG Drapeau Ltd., Kindersley Transport, Kriska Transportation, Liberty Linehaul Inc., Linamar Transportation Inc., Logikor, MacKinnon Transport, Meyers Transport, Ryder Canada – Supply Chain Solutions, SLH Transport, The Brick, Transpro Freight Systems, and Triton Transport.
The criteria applied to for-hire fleets is firmly rooted in the core values of Canadian Trucking Alliance’s recent Blue Ribbon Task Force on the Driver Shortage, while private fleets are scored using a system that reflects their unique working environments and requirements.
