Heavy Duty Trucking’s Jim Park takes Freightliner’s first autonomous truck for a spin around the Nevada desert:
HDT Equipment Editor Jim Park had a 45-minute ride in the truck during the roll-out event. He captured the following video on that ride. In the video, it’s explained how the driver interacts with so-called Highway Pilot, and what a few of its advantages and limitations are.
As you’ll see, it’s certainly not a “driverless truck.”
