Industry Gearing up For National Trucking Week

National Trucking Week (September 2– 8) is just around the corner.

The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA), in conjunction with the provincial trucking associations, launched National Trucking Week many years ago to spotlight the important contributions made by the 400,000 Canadians who work in the industry and keep the economy moving.

Provincial trucking associations, carriers, industry suppliers and other stakeholders are encouraged to undertake activities in their own province to mark the event.

Carriers and industry suppliers are encouraged to host BBQs, breakfasts, truck washes, offer special giveaways to employees and mark the week event with a wide variety of activities.

Various events bring the trucking community and others together to celebrate a job well done, to recognize those who make it happen, and to promote the industry’s dedication to Canada’s economy, to environmental enhancement and as always to the highest standards of safety.

Every company has its own unique way to show drivers and their families how much they’re appreciated.
