The top professional truck driver in Canada for 2026 is Larry Procure of Altona, Man.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Larry, who drives for Winnipeg-based Arnold Bros Transport, is being named the 2026 Canadian Trucking Alliance\/Volvo Trucks Canada National Driver of the Year during National Trucking Week (Sept 6-12) \u2013 an annual event to celebrate the many contributions of Canada\u2019s dedicated truck drivers and industry workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Larry was previously named the 2025 Manitoba Trucking Association\/Volvo Trucks Canada Driver of the Year. He was chosen among last year\u2019s other provincial Drivers of the Year to be named the 2026 national recipient. It is the most prestigious award that can be given to a professional truck driver in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is the second year in a row the National Driver of the Year is from Manitoba. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTrucking is still one of the most rewarding and fulfilling careers you can do, and your office window is always changing, which is why I get up every morning,\u201d Larry says. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout his career, Larry has amassed nearly 3 million miles. He has been a staple of the ABT Driver force for many years as both an owner operator and a company driver. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His current work with the Driver Mentorship program is invaluable as he provides on-the-road training to new drivers! Larry also participates in his company driver advisory board, career fairs and truck shows. He has volunteered to participate in the provincial truck driving championships as well as lend his time to the LETR Truck Ride for Special Olympics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
