Pointing to jurisdictions like B.C. and Quebec as leaders in integrated oversight, the CTA is urging the Council to establish a harmonized national framework where an infraction or license suspension in one province instantly triggers enforcement across all borders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Starving the Market for Substandard Driving Schools:\u00a0The audit exposed massive fraud within commercial driver training programs. The CTA emphasizes that substandard driving schools only exist to serve non-compliant fleets.\u00a0Lawful,\u00a0professional carriers refuse to hire uncertified or poorly trained drivers,\u00a0leaving only\u00a0Driver Inc. operators\u00a0as\u00a0the primary\u00a0job pathway\u00a0for these unsafe drivers.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the Council prepares to&nbsp;discuss and approve&nbsp;highly anticipated policy recommendations&nbsp; from industry and governments&nbsp;this fall, the CTA is urging ministers to reject incremental changes and instead deliver strong, unyielding sweeping regulatory reforms.
