{"id":9160,"date":"2025-10-04T19:09:43","date_gmt":"2025-10-04T19:09:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/?p=9160"},"modified":"2025-10-04T19:09:45","modified_gmt":"2025-10-04T19:09:45","slug":"cbsa-memo-on-outages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/cbsa-memo-on-outages\/","title":{"rendered":"CBSA Memo on Outages"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The following is a memo sent by CBSA to the cross-border trade\/transportation community:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday, September 28, 2025, following a planned systems maintenance update, the CBSA hit a problem that shut down its primary border processing systems (ACROSS, Single Window, eManifest and Commercial Exports). While the problem has been resolved, the fall-out continues to impact operations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The systems are processing the backlog of electronic messages and we are catching up; as we continue to move toward normal business, you can expect to see an increasing number of shipments being cleared electronically using regular clearance procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CBSA Systems Outage Contingency Plan procedures will remain in effect for commercial goods arriving where the electronic message (Single Window Declaration or eManifest) is&nbsp;<strong>not<\/strong>&nbsp;on file. We expect this to be the exception as we move into the weekend. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Communications to commercial stakeholders will continue over the coming days, updating you on the progress on mitigating the backlogs.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This incident was not the result of a cyber attack \u2013 it occurred following a planned systems maintenance event.
