The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA), responding to a recent regulatory posting looking for stakeholder comment, has asked the Government of Canada to not include Commercial Vehicle Drivers Hours of Service Regulations as well as Motor Carrier Safety Fitness Certificate Regulations Free Trade and Labour Mobility in Canada Act.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCTA sees zero benefit of such a move; and quite frankly a lot of downsides,\u00a0\u00bb said CTA President & CEO Stephen Laskowski. \u201cWe are asking the Government of Canada to not pursue this area of the initiative.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In its response, CTA recognized the good work by Government of Canada to look at reviving and modernizing the Canadian economy by removing interprovincial trade barriers.
