CACP echoed many of CTA\u2019s concerns and highlighted issues like human smuggling and&nbsp;the illicit exportation and importation of illegal drugs and firearms as organized crime groups are taking advantage of systemic blind spots, outdated statutes, and digital platforms to victimize Canadians.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCTA applauds CACP for its leadership,\u201d said CTA Senior VP, Policy Geoff Wood. \u201cCTA will continue working with CACP on measures to secure the border, secure the supply chain, as well as federal-provincial processes and programs designed to address critical&nbsp;public safety issues present in the trucking industry domestically and internationally,\u201d&nbsp;said Wood.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The
