{"id":7186,"date":"2025-02-28T13:40:00","date_gmt":"2025-02-28T13:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/?p=7186"},"modified":"2025-03-19T13:47:30","modified_gmt":"2025-03-19T13:47:30","slug":"minister-of-transport-and-internal-trade-announces-creation-of-the-supply-chain-advisory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/minister-of-transport-and-internal-trade-announces-creation-of-the-supply-chain-advisory\/","title":{"rendered":"Minister of Transport and Internal Trade Announces Creation of the Supply Chain Advisory"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Canadian Trucking Alliance has been invited to be part of the Supply Chain Advisory Council, comprised of experts and senior leaders in their fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anita Anand, Minister of Transport and Internal Trade, announced the establishment of the Council today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The non-partisan Council will provide strategic advice on strengthening supply chains to boost productivity, increase competitiveness and support trade diversification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The members of the Council include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stephen Laskowski, President and CEO, Canadian Trucking Alliance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Louis-Marie Beaulieu, Chairman of the Board and CEO, Groupe Desgagn\u00e9s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shelly De Caria, President and CEO, Canadian North<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chris Dinsdale, President and CEO, Calgary Airport Authority<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Julie Gascon, CEO, Port of\u00a0Montreal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eric Harvey, President and CEO, Railway Association of\u00a0Canada<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Laura Jones, President and CEO, BC Business Council<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vinesh Kohli, Senior Vice President, Operations, Canpotex<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candace Liang, President and CEO, Canadian Chamber of Commerce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mark Needham, President, Arctic Co-operatives Limited<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lana Payne, National President, Unifor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Magali Picard, President of the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration des travailleurs et travailleuses du Qu\u00e9bec<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trevor Tombe, Professor at the\u00a0University of Calgary&rsquo;s\u00a0Department of Economics and the Director of Fiscal and Economic Policy at The School of Public Policy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ajay Virmani, Executive Chairman, CEO &amp; Founder of CargoJet<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peter Xotta, President &amp; CEO, Vancouver Port Authority<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Government of&nbsp;Canada&nbsp;understands the urgent need to diversify and reach new international markets while prioritizing internal trade.
