This would allow CBP to contact businesses if a legitimate cybersecurity threat is identified, and that a rapid response can be taken if required.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CBP has seen a dramatic increase in cyberattacks on the trade community in recent years and believes that connecting with trade chain members to resolve disruptions can potentially mitigate or lessen these impacts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CBP adds that this will aid your business by:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Reducing doubt about the legitimacy of both the cyberattack and the notification from a CBP official.<\/li>\n<li>Providing CBP the correct person to contact for technical and cybersecurity related information.<\/li>\n<li>Expediting collaborative efforts to intercept and mitigate the impacts of an identified threat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To add a cybersecurity POC, ACE account users must begin by completing the steps required to add a general POC as described in the<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fwww.cbp.gov%2Fsites%2Fdefault%2Ffiles%2Fassets%2Fdocuments%2F2024-Apr%2FModernized%2520ACE%2520Portal%2520-%2520Account%2520Types%2520%25281%2529-508C.pdf\/1\/01000192b46a5ab3-c85dba7d-3839-45dc-ac53-befdfd0af48d-000000\/WJxulEjbSAfMCw2cM0VN2Lu2HjgtLxM52Z4mmhFGLhs=376\">Modernized ACE Portal User Guide<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Information on adding a POC to an ACE account is available beginning on page 42.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Select \u201cTechnical Point of Contact\u201d in the \u201cType\u201d drop down menu field.<\/li>\n<li>Include \u201cCybersecurity\u201d in parentheses after the contact\u2019s last name. For example, for a cybersecurity POC named John Doe, the last name field would read \u201cDoe (Cybersecurity).\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additionally, organizations can
