{"id":3604,"date":"2023-10-19T14:49:14","date_gmt":"2023-10-19T14:49:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/trucking-hr-canada-honours-top-fleets-at-awards-gala\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T16:41:57","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T16:41:57","slug":"trucking-hr-canada-honours-top-fleets-at-awards-gala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/trucking-hr-canada-honours-top-fleets-at-awards-gala\/","title":{"rendered":"Trucking HR Canada Honours Top Fleets at Awards Gala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trucking HR Canada brought just over 400 national industry leaders representing 93 best fleets in the industry together for a night of celebration at the 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0annual awards gala.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Held at Toronto\u2019s iconic Fairmont Royal York Hotel, four Top Fleet awards and eight Achievements of Excellence were presented to leading employers at the 2023 Top Fleet Employers Awards event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0year for the program honouring Top Fleet Employers as the best places to work and recognizing outstanding excellence in Human Resources in the trucking and logistics sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe are proud to celebrate a decade of recognizing the best in our industry,\u201d says Angela Splinter, CEO, Trucking HR Canada. \u201cThe Top Fleet Employers program has become a much-coveted recognition reserved for those driving HR excellence in their operations, championing best practices\u00a0across the industry, and positioning the sector as a rewarding workplace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trucking HR Canada recognizes four fleets as best in their class every year. This year\u2019s Top Fleet<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">s<\/span>\u00a0award winners:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>Top Small Fleet\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; Trans4 Group Ltd.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Top Medium Fleet<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; XTL Transport Inc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Top Large Fleet<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Challenger Motor Freight<\/li>\n<li><strong>Top Private Fleet\/Fleet Services<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Walmart Fleets ULC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are eight Achievement of Excellence Awards highlighting leaders in specific HR areas:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>HR Innovator<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; ONE for Freight<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workplace Wellness and Mental Health<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Whitecourt Transport Inc.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Employee Engagement<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Polaris Transportation Group<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workplace Diversity and Inclusion<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Midland Transport Ltd.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Training and Skills Development<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Trimac Transportation<\/li>\n<li><strong>Workplace Culture<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Steve\u2019s Livestock Transport<\/li>\n<li><strong>Women in the Workplace<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Bison Transport<\/li>\n<li><strong>HR\u00a0Leadership<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Caron Transportation Systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another highlight of the night was the presentation of the\u00a0<strong>HR Leader of the Year Award<\/strong>\u00a0to Dave Dietrich, The Erb Group of Companies<strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Dave<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Dietrich<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>was nominated by his peers and recognized for his exceptional impact on his team and the sector through his commitment to HR excellence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also given special recognition this year were the Top Fleet Employers of Distinction 10+ Years who have been with the program since its inception:\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Bison Transport, C.A.T. Inc., Home Hardware Stores Limited, Kindersley Transport Ltd., Kriska Holdings Ltd., Logikor, The Erb Group of Companies, and Transpro Freight Systems Ltd.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Top Fleet Employers program is a national initiative that recognizes the significance of sound HR policies and practices within the trucking and logistics industry. Applicants are evaluated based on multiple criteria, including recruitment and retention practices, workplace culture, compensation, training and skills development, and innovative HR policies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Trucking HR Canada encourages applications from fleets across Canada.
