This year was no different as several Canadian carriers made the list in various categories.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Top 20 winners are\u00a0for-hire trucking companies from across North America that are being recognized for providing \u201cexemplary work environments\u201d for their professional truck drivers and employees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be considered for the Best Fleets program, for-hire companies operating 10 or more tractor trailers had to receive a nomination from one of their company drivers or owner-operators. The fleets were then evaluated using a scoring matrix covering a variety of categories, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>total compensation,<\/li>\n<li>health benefits,<\/li>\n<li>performance management,<\/li>\n<li>professional development, and;<\/li>\n<li>career path\/advancement opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Driver surveys were also conducted to collect input from drivers and independent contractors working with the fleets.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Canadian carriers named in the 2023 Top 20 Best Fleets to Drive For are:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">C.A.T. Inc. &#8211; Coteau-du-Lac, QC (2)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Challenger Motor Freight Inc. &#8211; Cambridge, ON (3)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Erb Transport &#8211; New Hamburg, ON (7)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fortigo Freight Services Inc. &#8211; Etobicoke, ON (8)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kriska Holdings Limited &#8211; Prescott, ON (12)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wellington Group of Companies &#8211; Aberfoyle, ON (20)<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Last year, TCA and CarriersEdge expanded the program by adding a Hall of Fame category. This recognition level is above the regular Top 20 and honors fleets demonstrating Top 20 performance for extended periods of time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be eligible for the Hall of Fame, fleets must be named as a Best Fleet for 10 consecutive years, or 7 years with at least one overall award, and must continue to qualify as a Top 20 to be eligible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bison Transport Inc. &#8211; Winnipeg, MB was the Canadian carrier on the Hall of Fame list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">TransPro Freight Systems Limited &#8211; Milton, ON, was a 2023 Best Fleets to Driver for New Hall of Fame Recipient.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, Mill Creek Motor Freight LTD &#8211; Ayr, ON and Skelton Truck Lines &#8211; Sharon, ON, received honorable mentions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Canadian for-hire fleets, many of which are also CTA carrier members, routinely show very well in the\u00a0Truckload Carriers Association and CarriersEdge Best Fleets to Drive For contest.
