{"id":3432,"date":"2022-09-26T15:14:20","date_gmt":"2022-09-26T15:14:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/govt-of-canada-to-remove-border-vaccine-mandate-and-other-covid-measures-on-oct-1\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T16:43:01","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T16:43:01","slug":"govt-of-canada-to-remove-border-vaccine-mandate-and-other-covid-measures-on-oct-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/govt-of-canada-to-remove-border-vaccine-mandate-and-other-covid-measures-on-oct-1\/","title":{"rendered":"Govt of Canada to Remove Border Vaccine Mandate and Other COVID Measures on Oct 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"xmsonormal\">The Government of Canada today announced the removal of all COVID-19 entry restrictions, as well as testing, quarantine, and isolation requirements for anyone entering Canada, effective October 1, 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">All existing measures under the Public Health Agency of Canada and Transport Canada orders remain in place until this date.<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">Effective October 1, 2022, all travellers, regardless of citizenship, will no longer have to:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"xmsonormal\">Submit public health information through the ArriveCAN app or website;<\/li>\n<li class=\"xmsonormal\">Provide proof of vaccination;<\/li>\n<li class=\"xmsonormal\">Undergo pre- or on-arrival testing;<\/li>\n<li class=\"xmsonormal\">Carry out COVID-19-related quarantine or isolation;<\/li>\n<li class=\"xmsonormal\">Monitor and report if they develop signs or symptoms of COVID-19 upon arriving to Canada.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\">The US government still needs to clarify its own position on cross-border trucking.
