{"id":3330,"date":"2022-03-11T21:06:35","date_gmt":"2022-03-11T21:06:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/maintenance-shops-struggling-with-shortages-costs\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T16:43:30","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T16:43:30","slug":"maintenance-shops-struggling-with-shortages-costs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/maintenance-shops-struggling-with-shortages-costs\/","title":{"rendered":"Maintenance Shops Struggling with Shortages, Costs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Nearly all shops surveyed for the second annual State of Heavy-Duty Repair report compiled by Fullbay with the Technology &amp; Maintenance Council were affected by parts and labour shortages in 2021, reports Truck News.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The report indicated 82% of repair shops suffered disruptions due to supply chain-related parts shortages, with 14% reporting \u201csevere\u201d disruptions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\">Sixty-four per cent of shops found it \u201cmuch\u201d or \u201cslightly\u201d more difficult to hire technicians, even while 73% increased wages. But 19% of shops saw revenue growth in 2021.\u201cThis year\u2019s report provides repair shops with essential insights and best practices to run their business,\u201d said Fullbay CEO Patrick McKittrick. \u201cThe report offers commercial repair data you can\u2019t find anywhere else with learnings on shop management, labor challenges and current industry parts shortages. It\u2019s all designed to provide shops with a tool to benchmark their business against.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The full report can be downloaded for<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fullbay.com\/state-of-heavy-duty-repair-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, parts, labor and overall repair costs are soaring for truck fleets, according to benchmarking reports conducted by the Technology &amp;
