The U.S. event begins on Jan. 11, and runs to Jan. 13.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\">The effort will raise awareness and educate commercial drivers, motor carriers about the crime, signs to look for, and what to do if you think someone is being trafficked.\u00a0\u201cHuman traffickers often use roadways as the mode of transportation for transporting their victims,\u201d said CVSA president John Broers. \u201cSince our roadways are the \u2018workplace\u2019 for truck drivers, motorcoach drivers and commercial motor vehicle inspectors, they are in a prime position to make a difference in helping to identify potential victims of human trafficking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIdentification, and ultimately prevention, starts with education,\u201d Capt. Broers added. \u201cThrough CVSA\u2019s Human Trafficking Awareness Initiative, we aim to equip drivers and inspectors with the tools they need to proactively serve on the frontline in our effort to end human trafficking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CVSA will work with Truckers Against Trafficking to distribute wallet cards and window decals to promote the initiative.<\/p>\n<p>To find out what your local
