Some topics include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identifying major infrastructure or operational bottlenecks and chokepoints across the freight and logistics supply chain that slow or impede efficient cargo movement.<\/li>\n<li>Major risks to resilience within the freight and logistics sector, including defense, intelligence, cyber, health, climate and more.<\/li>\n<li>Effects of climate change on transportation and logistics infrastructure.<\/li>\n<li>Technology issues, including information systems, cybersecurity and more.<\/li>\n<li>Key opportunities and challenges with respect to the existing and future workforce.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>DOT is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2021\/09\/16\/2021-19974\/americas-supply-chains-and-the-transportation-industrial-base#open-comment\">accepting comments in the <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2021\/09\/16\/2021-19974\/americas-supply-chains-and-the-transportation-industrial-base#open-comment\"><em>Federal Register<\/em><\/a> through Oct. 18.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Transportation is requesting information from trucking and other transportation industries to assist DOT in preparing a report for President Biden on supply chain disruptions.
