Trucking HR Canada released today a new Women\u2019s Resource Inventory for employers and employees in the industry.<\/p>\n

The new, easy to navigate on-line resource includes links to mentorship information, training programs, business networks and associations for women, leadership development, best practices, and more.<\/p>\n

Trucking HR Canada\u2019s (THRC) Labour Market Information (LMI) research indicates the need for more women in the industry.\u00a0 With only 3% of drivers in Canada being female, there is room for improvement on this front.\u00a0 Additionally, THRC surveys of women working in the industry have two in three reporting they want more mentorship opportunities. With International Women\u2019s Day 2021 rapidly approaching the timing couldn\u2019t be better.<\/p>\n

\u201cAttracting more women into the trucking and logistics industry remains an important business issue.\u201d says Angela Splinter, CEO at Trucking HR Canada.\u00a0 \u201cOur continued growth as an essential sector will depend on our ability to better recruit and retain women.\u201d<\/p>\n
