The Canadian Trucking Alliance \u00a0(CTA) offers its condolences to the family of CTA Chair Jean Claude Fortin on the passing of Mr. Fortin\u2019s grandson, Medrick Marion. CTA\u2019s thoughts and prayers are with the family.<\/p>\n

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the funeral arrangements for Medrick were delayed. Given the current pandemic circumstances, a ceremony will be held in private on Saturday February 13 at 11:30 am.\u00a0Following the private ceremony, to receive sympathies in complete safety, the Fortin family will welcome individuals by car on Saturday February 13 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at M\u00e9drick secondary school. For those wishing to make donations in Medrick\u2019s memory, information is available in the family obituary contained below.<\/p>\n

Obituary:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Accidentally on December 30, 2020, at the age of 14, M\u00e9drick Marion, resident of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, son of Mr. J\u00e9r\u00f4me Marion, Ms. Caroline Fortin, big brother of Micka\u00ebl Marion passed away. He is survived by his grandparents; Jean-Ren\u00e9 Marion, late Nicole Lapointe, Jean-Claude\u00a0Fortin, Solange Poulin, his uncle Gilbert Lemieux, his aunt Karine Marion, his godfather Martin Roy, his godmother Annie Fortin, his cousins J\u00e9r\u00e9my Roy, F\u00e9lix Roy, Mathis Lemieux and his cousin Oc\u00e9anne Lemieux as well as several other relatives and many friends. A sensitive and generous young man, M\u00e9drick loved hockey and liked to share this passion. In this spirit, the family does not wish to receive flowers, instead the family invites you to show your sympathy by making a donation in Medrick\u2019s memory, to the Gely-N-Ice Youth Fund of \u00c9ric G\u00e9linas, with the aim of sponsoring children from\u00a0the region of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu who would not have the chance to know the joys of playing ice hockey.<\/p>\n
