FMCSA Waiver Recognizing Validity of Cnd Licences Extended Due to COVID-19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The US Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has asked CTA to share the following information with its membership with respect to a continued recognition of expired driver&rsquo;s licenses until at least February 28, 2021.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn accordance with 49 CFR 383.23(a)(1) and 391.41(a)(1)(i), FMCSA also continues to recognize the validity of commercial driver\u2019s licenses issued by Canadian Provinces and Territories and Licencias Federales de Conductor issued by the United Mexican States, in accordance with 49 CFR part 383, when such jurisdictions issue a similar notice or declaration extending the validity date of the medical examination and certification and\/or validity of the corresponding commercial driver\u2019s license due to interruption to government service resulting from COVID-19.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis waiver is effective January 1, 2021 and expires on February 28, 2021 or upon the revocation of the President\u2019s Declaration of National Emergency under 42 U.S.C. \u00a7 5191(b) concerning the COVID-19 public health emergency, whichever is sooner.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For complete details of the FMCSA information, <a
