{"id":2972,"date":"2020-08-14T16:59:43","date_gmt":"2020-08-14T16:59:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/update-drivercheck-covid-19-testing-moving-location-to-flying-j-london-on\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T16:45:02","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T16:45:02","slug":"update-drivercheck-covid-19-testing-moving-location-to-flying-j-london-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/update-drivercheck-covid-19-testing-moving-location-to-flying-j-london-on\/","title":{"rendered":"Update: DriverCheck COVID-19 Testing Moving Location to Flying J, London, ON"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In an effort to expand the accessibility of COVID-19 testing for truck drivers, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ontruck.org\/govt-of-ontario-to-expand-covid-19-testing-for-trucking\/\">DriverCheck<\/a>\u00a0truckstop location will move to the Flying J Truck Stop in London, which will be up and running on Tuesday August 18, 2020. Testing availability at the Flying J in Ayr will no longer be available after Friday August 14, 2020.\u00a0Testing in London will be available until Tuesday September 8, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The Province of Ontario is covering the cost of COVID-19 testing through DriverCheck, so there is no charge to drivers, individuals or companies.\u00a0Drivers taking a COVID-19 test do not have to self-isolate while awaiting the test results. DriverCheck is returning results rapidly directly to drivers following the strictest privacy protocols.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe industry has implemented a host of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ontruck.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/CTA-Proactive-Measures-During-Covid_public.pdf\">management practices<\/a>\u00a0in the fight against COVID-19 to keep the workforce safe and the supply chain secure.\u00a0We are encouraging all members to work with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ontruck.org\/drivercheck-covid-19-testing-locations\/\">DriverCheck<\/a>\u00a0to enhance access to testing facilities,\u201d says Geoffrey Wood, OTA\u2019s senior VP, Policy.<\/p>\n<p>The following options are available for COVID-19 testing through DriverCheck:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Commercial drivers and other individuals working in the trucking industry can get tested at the Flying J Truck Stop in London, ON located at 3700 Highbury Ave. South London, ON N6N 1P3 \u2013 Hwy 401 Exit 189; Hours Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.\u00a0Walk-ins available.<\/li>\n<li>Commercial drivers and other individuals working in the trucking industry can get tested at the Kitchener DriverCheck Clinic \u2013 31 McBrine Dr, Unit 8, Kitchener ON, N2R 1J1; Hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.\u00a0 Walk-ins available.\u00a0Call\u00a0<a href=\"tel:5197484658\">(519) 748-4658<\/a>\u00a0if you would like to book in advance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more information on the options available from DriverCheck for COVID-19 testing please call (800) 463-4310, option 8, or send an email to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ProgramConsultant@DriverCheck.ca\">ProgramConsultant@DriverCheck.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Additional DriverCheck clinic and truckstop locations are being considered in the coming weeks and info will be shared with the OTA membership once confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Unsure about COVID-19 testing and all that is involved?
