extends Notice of Enforcement Policy for expired Drivers Licences and Medical Certificates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fmcsa.dot.gov\/emergency\/notice-enforcement-policy-regarding-expiring-drivers-licenses-and-medical-examiners\">this morning<\/a> an extension of their Notice of Enforcement Policy with respect to expired Drivers Licences and Medical Certificates.\u00a0 This Notice of Enforcement Policy, effective until September 30, 2020, extends a previous notice that was effective from March 24, 2020 until June 30, 2020. \u00a0It provides needed relief from specified FMCSRs for CLP holders, CDL holders, and non-CDL drivers and motor carriers using those drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Specific references are made with respect to Drivers Licences and Medicals issues from Canadian jurisdictions as follows:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn accordance with 49 CFR 383.23(a)(1) and 391.41(a)(1)(i), FMCSA also continues to recognize the validity of commercial driver\u2019s licenses issued by Canadian Provinces and Territories and Licencias Federales de Conductor issued by the United Mexican States, in accordance with 49 CFR part 383, when such jurisdictions issue a similar notice or declaration extending the validity date of the medical examination and certification and\/or validity of the corresponding commercial driver\u2019s license due to interruption to government service resulting from COVID-19.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Please <a
