The topic of trucking and its role in the fight against COVID-19 reached the highest political levels in Ottawa yesterday when Prime Minister Trudeau\u00a0tweeted his appreciation<\/a>\u00a0for hard-working Canadian truck drivers and tipped his hat to the Canadian Trucking Alliance\u2019s\u00a0#ThankATrucker<\/a>\u00a0social media campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/strong>While many of us are working from home, there are others who aren\u2019t able to do that – like the truck drivers who are working day and night to make sure our shelves are stocked. So when you can, please\u00a0#ThankATrucker<\/a>\u00a0for everything they\u2019re doing and help them however you can,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The discussion of truck driver treatment has been spreading across the Canada over the past week as CTA\u2019s social media campaign in support of the women and men who drive truck picks up steam.<\/p>\n
