Transport Canada in cooperation with the National Research Council \u2013 Automotive and Surface Transportation portfolio\u00a0<\/em>are inviting fleets to attend the\u00a0<\/em>Cooperative Truck Platooning System (CTPS) Deployment Readiness in Canada Workshop<\/u><\/em>, which will be held on October 24-25,\u00a0<\/strong>2018 at the Government Conference Centre (John G. Diefenbaker Building) located at 111 Sussex Drive, Ottawa.<\/p>\n

This is an industry-wide event (federal\/provincial\/territorial governments, carriers, academia, first responders, trucking associations, equipment manufacturers) and will include a series of presentations and discussions about cooperative truck platooning system (CTPS) testing, demonstration, and deployments. \u00a0Key regulatory, safety, policy, legal, operational and other considerations will be discussed including how other jurisdictions and organizations are addressing these issues to support on-road trials and demonstrations.
