{"id":2460,"date":"2018-07-24T19:11:31","date_gmt":"2018-07-24T19:11:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/class-8-orders-strongest-in-over-a-decade-act\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T16:48:02","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T16:48:02","slug":"class-8-orders-strongest-in-over-a-decade-act","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/class-8-orders-strongest-in-over-a-decade-act\/","title":{"rendered":"Class 8 Orders Strongest in Over a Decade: ACT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">For the fourth time in six months, North American Class 8 truck orders exceeded 40,000 units, according to the latest data from ACT Research.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Orders totaled 42,224 units in June.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cNorth American Class 8 net orders continued to materially outpace the industry\u2019s ability to sate demand, and June\u2019s performance is more impressive in that it is typically one of the weakest months of the year for orders,\u201d said Kenny Vieth, president and senior analyst. \u201cWhen seasonally adjusted, June\u2019s intake rises to 48,264 units. Seasonally adjusted, we have to track back to March 2006 to find the only month in history that surpasses June\u2019s volume.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Medium-duty orders were also strong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cDemand for medium-duty vehicles remained on a strong path in June, with Classes 5-7 orders rising to a three-month high of 26,649 units,\u201d Vieth said. \u201cThrough year-to-date June, medium-duty orders are up 23% year-over-year, and current market strength continues to hearken back to 2006.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the fourth time in six months, North American Class 8 truck orders exceeded 40,000 units, according to the latest data from ACT Research.
