For the first time-ever EPA published a list of SmartWay High\u00a0Performers \u2013 a select group of\u00a0truck carriers, shippers and logistics companies\u00a0that are achieving significant environmental and\u00a0freight efficiencies in their transportation and logistics operations.<\/p>\n

SmartWay high performers are identified based on freight activity, fuel use and other data that partners annually compile and voluntarily provide to EPA. EPA aggregates and divides this data into five performance ranges. SmartWay high performers are those partners whose efficiency and\/or air quality performance places them in the top-ranked performance range.<\/p>\n
