The Canadian Trucking Alliance has reached out to its provincial associations across Canada to gather input on building stronger, more efficient trade corridors. CTA used the feedback to create a trade-trade priority wish list which was released today.<\/p>\n
In early July, Transport Minister Marc Garneau announced a\u00a0$2.1 billion\u00a0for the Trade and Transportation Corridors Initiative (TTCI), based on the merit-based National Trade Corridors Fund (NTCF), which provides $2\u00a0billion over 11\u00a0years to strengthen\u00a0Canada’s\u00a0trade infrastructure, including ports, waterways, airports, roads, bridges, border crossings, rail networks and the interconnectivity between them.<\/p>\n
CTA and its provincial trucking associations used the opportunity to create a list of projects that meets these criteria. In each case, funding for road-based infrastructure would significantly improve the trucking industry\u2019s ability to carry the nation\u2019s domestic and international trade,\u201d said CTA President Stephen Laskowski.<\/p>\n Below is a list of CTA Association Regional Vice Presidents.
