{"id":2230,"date":"2017-07-31T19:09:16","date_gmt":"2017-07-31T19:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/u-s-canada-freight-flows-increase-by-double-digits\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T16:49:04","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T16:49:04","slug":"u-s-canada-freight-flows-increase-by-double-digits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/u-s-canada-freight-flows-increase-by-double-digits\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S.-Canada Freight Flows Increase by Double Digits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The value of U.S.-Canada freight flows increased by 11.4% to $51.2 billion between May 2016 and May 2017 as the value of freight on all five major modes increased from a year earlier.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2629\" src=\"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/nafta-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The value of freight carried on pipeline increased by 66%, vessel by 26%, rail by 9.8%, air by 9.7%, and truck by 5.4%.<\/p>\n<p>Trucks carried 57.8% of the value of the freight to and from Canada.
