Persistent rain has led to flooding in several areas of Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick and British Columbia \u2013 putting many Canadians at risk.<\/p>\n
The Canadian trucking industry is once again taking the lead to help communities in need.\u00a0Through Trucks For Change Network and the Canadian Trucking Alliance, highway carriers are currently working with Red Cross Logistics teams to distribute water, first aid, cots, blankets, cleanup kits and hygiene supplies to those affected across Canada.<\/p>\n
CTA carriers who want to get involved by making equipment and services available for emergency relief deliveries in these areas should contact Trucks for Change\u2019s Pete\u00a0Dalmazzi at pete@trucksforchange.org<\/a>.\u00a0Trucks for Change will be coordinating these efforts.<\/p>\n Additionally, a dedicated web portal, via the Red Cross\u2019 website, has been launched for members of the trucking industry who would like to make a financial contribution.
