{"id":2118,"date":"2017-03-03T18:25:19","date_gmt":"2017-03-03T18:25:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fort-erie-border-crossing-gets-fast-emerson-coming-soon\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T16:49:39","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T16:49:39","slug":"fort-erie-border-crossing-gets-fast-emerson-coming-soon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/fort-erie-border-crossing-gets-fast-emerson-coming-soon\/","title":{"rendered":"Fort Erie Border Crossing Gets FAST, Emerson Coming Soon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Canada Border Services Agency has installed a dedicated Free and Secure Trade (FAST) lane and inspection booth.<\/p>\n<p>Another FAST lane is planned for the crossing in Emerson, Manitoba, the CBSA says.<\/p>\n<p>Trucks can use FAST lanes when the driver is a member of FAST or Commercial Driver Registration programs; the carrier and importer are approved under Customs Self-Assessment (CSA) and Partners in Protection (PIP); and all cargo includes CSA-eligible goods from the U.S. or Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the agency also announced the Pacific Highway crossing in Surrey, B.C. will also find new traffic signals installed at the primary inspection booths.<\/p>\n<p>The port is introducing a \u201cFAST-1st\u201d model based on the processes already in place for southbound traffic into Blaine, Washington. A dedicated FAST inspection booth has also been closed, allowing any vehicle to pass through any booth.<\/p>\n<p>Trusted traders can still access a dedicate lane on the approaching highway, and will be given priority when reaching the traffic signals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Canada Border Services Agency has installed a dedicated Free and Secure Trade (FAST) lane and inspection booth.
