{"id":2028,"date":"2016-10-20T18:55:05","date_gmt":"2016-10-20T18:55:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/cta-webinar-overview-of-cbsas-new-regime-for-administrative-monetary-penalties\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T16:49:56","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T16:49:56","slug":"cta-webinar-overview-of-cbsas-new-regime-for-administrative-monetary-penalties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/cta-webinar-overview-of-cbsas-new-regime-for-administrative-monetary-penalties\/","title":{"rendered":"CTA Webinar: Overview of CBSA\u2019s New Regime for Administrative Monetary Penalties"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will be moving into a new era with the introduction of a graduated Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPs) on November 1, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>CBSA\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/cta-applauds-cbsa-for-addressing-aci-concerns\/\">direction follows a year of educational<\/a> enforcement while their ACI (Advanced Commercial Information) program developed and carrier participation and readiness for ACI compliance stabilized.<\/p>\n<p>The webinar (open to all CTA members and provided in Canada\u2019s two official languages) will cover off:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Background information on AMPS regime<\/li>\n<li>Review of communique released by CBSA to industry on return to the escalated AMP\u2019s system<\/li>\n<li>Findings of the CBSA study on AMPS \u2013 trends, top issues for carriers<\/li>\n<li>Mitigation\/Appeals process for carriers<\/li>\n<li>Communication issues (company contact info, other issues)<\/li>\n<li>Next steps for CTA and CBSA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The English language webinar will take place on Tuesday October 25<sup>th <\/sup>from 2:00 to 3:00 pm (EST), and the French Language session will take place on Thursday October 27th from 1:30 to 2:30 pm (EST).
