{"id":1909,"date":"2016-03-17T15:49:13","date_gmt":"2016-03-17T15:49:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/us-speed-limiter-proposal-expected-in-april\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T16:50:22","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T16:50:22","slug":"us-speed-limiter-proposal-expected-in-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/us-speed-limiter-proposal-expected-in-april\/","title":{"rendered":"US Speed Limiter Proposal Expected in April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>US DOT Secretary Anthony Foxx said the department will publish its long-awaited speed limiter rule proposal within \u201cthe next month or so.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At a Senate Appropriations transportation subcommittee, Foxx explained the speed-limiter\u00a0Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) has run into delays since being scheduled for release last fall, but assured it remains \u201ca top priority.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Foxx reported that the current estimate calls for a publication date of April 22.<\/p>\n<p>He said the rule has been held up in review at White Office of Management and Budget (OMB) since last May.<\/p>\n<p>There is still no confirmation at what speed limit setting the proposal will state.
