{"id":1862,"date":"2015-12-10T07:30:05","date_gmt":"2015-12-10T07:30:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/new-toll-free-number-for-canutec\/"},"modified":"2025-01-10T16:51:21","modified_gmt":"2025-01-10T16:51:21","slug":"new-toll-free-number-for-canutec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cantruck.ca\/fr\/new-toll-free-number-for-canutec\/","title":{"rendered":"New Toll-Free Number for CANUTEC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CANUTEC, the Canadian Transport Emergency Centre, now has a toll-free phone number which can be used for Emergency assistance for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) from anywhere in Canada and the United-States.<\/p>\n<p>Calling <strong>1-888-CANUTEC (226-8832) <\/strong>will put you in touch with CANUTEC\u2019s Emergency Response Advisors able to provide pertinent and timely advice on how to handle dangerous goods emergencies.<\/p>\n<p>The toll-free number does not replace CANUTEC\u2019s current emergency numbers (613-996-6666, as well as *666 from a cell phone in Canada) which are still operational.<\/p>\n<p>Companies registered with CANUTEC will be able to use the toll-free number as the 24-hour number on their shipping documents for shipments destined somewhere in Canada or the United-States. The toll-free number will NOT work outside of these two countries.
