Trucks For Change Network is looking for carriers and allied trades to participate in \u201cRolling Over Hunger\u201d by organizing a food collection drive for their local food banks, or by donating transportation to collect and deliver donations in their area of operation.<\/p>\n

Each year, 850,000 Canadians rely on food banks, 300,000 of them children.<\/p>\n

Trucks For Change Network (T4C) founder Pete Dalmazzi emphasizes that you don\u2019t have to be a T4C member to participate.\u00a0 \u201cHunger knows no boundaries,\u201d Pete explained, \u201cso we are encouraging anyone and everyone in this industry to take part and help show once again how committed the trucking industry is to helping those in need in our communities\u201d.<\/p>\n

The campaign will officially kick off at T4C\u2019s Annual General Meeting and Partner Reception on November 18 in Toronto.\u00a0 Later that afternoon, volunteers from across the industry will participate in a \u201cFood Sort Challenge\u201d at Toronto\u2019s Daily Bread Food Bank, where they will \u201ccompete\u201d in a fun food sorting and packing event while raising funds to fight hunger.<\/p>\n
