CTA has confirmed that the company that conducts offloads for CBSA highway exams has changed.\u00a0 A new company, Employment Professionals, will become the provider for CBSA offload services effective Sunday February 1, 2015<\/span><\/b>. The change affects all ports of entry into Canada.<\/p>\n

What this means is that all highway carriers that have accounts set up with the current provider and want to continue account based payments are encouraged to complete this application (EPC – Credit Verification Request – Border Services<\/a>) for an account with Employment Professionals.\u00a0 At this time, there is no planned transition period, so carriers are encouraged to do this as soon as possible to avoid disruptions in service when required to report for CBSA offload as of February 1.<\/p>\n

We apologize for the late notice, but CTA was only very recently informed of these changes.<\/p>\n

Employment Professionals Canada (EPC) has advised that establishing accounts is a top priority.\u00a0 They have implemented an expedited process to speed credit approvals at their own cost.\u00a0 Nonetheless, many accounts will not be transitioned by Feb. 1, 2015 so EPC has agreed that\u00a0in addition to standing accounts, they will offer the utmost flexibility for payment options. Methods of payment accepted will be Debit, Visa, MasterCard, TChecks, ComChecks, and account invoicing (after the fact)<\/span>.\u00a0 Payment terminals will also be available at each location and in addition, if required, the main office (indicated below) can process payments.<\/p>\n

Below is a list of offload facilities that will be now be operated by Employment Professionals.\u00a0 Here is also a document listing the new rates (cbsa OFFLOAD RATES 2015<\/a>). Carriers may notice they are lower.<\/p>\n
