The Canada-US Entry/Exit Initiative: Tracking of Time Spent in the US – A Cross-Border Review for Canadian Carriers

As a result of recent media attention, CTA has been receiving numerous questions from carriers and truck drivers regarding the Canada-US Entry/Exit information sharing initiative and the possible tax and residency implications for commercial drivers who operate into and out of the United States.
CTA has been working with tax and immigration lawyers from both the US and Canada to provide clarity and guidance from highway carriers to facilitate in addressing employee concerns.
On March 4th, CTA is pleased to host a team of legal experts who will provide insight into the US and Canadian tax and immigration legal requirements and implications for highway carriers’ driving force.
