CTA Conducts Impact Analysis on Association with Cannabis

With the pending legalization of cannabis just around the corner, CTA has conducted an impact analysis of potential issues Canadian carriers and truck drivers could face when cannabis legalization occurs on October 17.

The legal memo, produced in partnership with trade and immigration lawyers on both sides of the border, goes into greater detail about potential questions from border officers; scenarios that carriers, drivers, and company owners could face when crossing the border; and potential penalties for violating U.S. customs laws.
